The sacred banks of the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj are witnessing unparalleled scenes of devotion as around 40 crore pilgrims have already taken the holy dip during Mahakumbh 2025 till Saturday.
This spiritual congregation, which commenced on 13 January and will continue until 26 February, has attracted millions of devotees from across the globe.
The confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati has long been revered as a sacred site, and the ongoing Mahakumbh is setting new records for attendance.
Spiritual fervour continues unabated as devotees, leaders, and dignitaries converge at the event.
Among the prominent participants on Saturday was Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, who led a delegation comprising his cabinet colleagues and senior bureaucrats for a ceremonial dip.

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari expressed gratitude for the Chief Minister’s initiative, saying, “On the initiative of the CM, all the cabinet and MLAs are today going to Mahakumbh. It's a good initiative of the CM and I thank him for that.”
Cabinet Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham hailed the move, emphasising its role in preserving cultural heritage.
“I congratulate all and thank the CM for the conservation of cultural heritage—he has decided to take us all for the holy dip at Mahakumbh. We will hold a cabinet there and will make some good decisions,” Bedham noted.
Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa added that the ministers would seek divine blessings for the well-being of the nation.
“We all MLAs are going to Prayagraj to take a dip at Mahakumbh. We will pray for the happiness of the entire country,” Bairwa said.
The Mahakumbh Mela, held in Prayagraj, is regarded as the world's largest spiritual and cultural gathering. It continues to draw pilgrims from across India and beyond. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was among those who took a holy dip at the Sangam on Friday.
This edition of the Mahakumbh is being hailed for its extensive participation and impeccable organisation. Authorities have made elaborate arrangements to manage the large influx of pilgrims, ensuring smooth conduct and security.
As the sacred event progresses, Prayagraj remains the epicentre of spiritual fervour, with millions expected to participate in the coming days.
The Maha Kumbh, which began on Paush Purnima, will conclude on Mahashivratri.
