Technical problems surfaced on the re-evaluation and verification website for CBSE Class 12 examinations, with many candidates complaining about login issues immediately after the site went "live". Several candidates mentioned how their computer screens had frozen completely after entering their login credentials. There were some candidates who even recorded videos documenting this problem and sharing them on social media.

And this is the latest problem in a series of problems with the CBSE making repeated promises regarding the launch of its platform offering post-result services by June 1, 2026, after several delays in the same. While the board had launched a marketing campaign regarding the launch of the platform using their various social media handles in the last few days, issues regarding inaccessibility and slow loading were already being reported.

The ongoing system failure affects a significant cohort, with over 404,319 students expected to apply for marks verification, photocopies of answer sheets, and formal re-evaluation requests this year. Amidst growing controversy surrounding the board's new On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan noted in an interview with the media that between 15 and 20 per cent of students who view their evaluated scripts might ultimately seek a formal review. If this estimate proves accurate, the board could face between 60,000 and 80,000 formal challenges, making it one of the largest post-result review exercises in its history.

The entire re-evaluation process has been under intense scrutiny since the release of the Class 12 results. Alongside the login failures, students and parents have complained of payment gateway errors, duplicate fee deductions, missing transaction receipts, and severe difficulties in downloading scanned answer sheets. Moreover, several candidates alleged that the provided digital copies were either blurred, incomplete, or did not correspond at all with their answers on the examinations.

However, the assigned platform was already undergoing constant system failure as well as shutting down at irregular intervals, which is caused by the massive surge of traffic received by the website on its first day of functioning in May. This recurring delay has only served to add to the pressure of the candidates, who are running against time in order to finish their assignments, before the process of university admissions and counselling begins. In spite of all this, the CBSE has not made any further declarations about any extension of deadline, after June 1.
