An IndiGo flight carrying 151 passengers, including Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav, was forced to abort its takeoff after failing to become airborne properly at Lucknow airport.
The incident occurred around 11 am on Saturday, as the Delhi-bound flight approached the end of the runway. Eyewitnesses and airport officials reported that the aircraft struggled to take off.
In order to avoid a possible runway overrun, the pilot took quick action and engaged the emergency brakes, bringing the aircraft to a complete stop. Without any casualties, all 151 passengers and crew members were safely removed from the airplane. The passengers were then transferred to a another airplane that would take them to their final destination.
Earlier this month, an IndiGo flight bound for Abu Dhabi returned to Kochi shortly after takeoff due to a technical issue. The aircraft landed safely in Kochi and is undergoing maintenance checks.

In a statement, IndiGo said that a technical issue was detected on IndiGo flight 6E 1403 operating from Kochin to Abu Dhabi on September 6. As a precautionary step, the pilots decided to turn back and the aircraft landed safely at Cochin International Airport.
In another incident in August, an IndiGo Airbus A321 aircraft’s tail struck the runway during a go-around at Mumbai airport amid heavy rain. The aircraft later made another approach and landed safely. This occurred while performing a low-altitude go-around due to adverse weather conditions.
