The most-anticipated event of the Modi 3.0 government formation has taken place, with the BJP maintaining control over the crucial 'Big 4' ministries: Finance, External Affairs, Defence, and Home.

Amit Shah has retained his position as the Minister of Home Affairs, continuing his oversight of the nation’s internal security and law enforcement. Rajnath Singh will continue to lead the Defence Ministry, a critical role given India's strategic defense initiatives and modernization efforts.

Nitin Gadkari will remain at the helm of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, ensuring the ongoing development of the nation's infrastructure. Ajay Tamta and Harsh Malhotra have been appointed as Ministers of State in this ministry to support Gadkari’s efforts.

Nirmala Sitharaman will continue as the Minister of Finance, guiding the country’s economic policies and financial management. She would also hold the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

S Jaishankar will retain his position as Minister of External Affairs, handling India’s diplomatic relations and foreign policy.

This continuity in the Big 4 ministries is seen as a strategic move to ensure stability and sustained progress in these key areas under Modi 3.0.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken direct charge of several key ministries, including the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, underscoring his hands-on approach to governance. Additionally, PM Modi will oversee the Department of Atomic Energy, the Department of Space, and all significant policy matters, consolidating his authority over crucial policy decisions.

Piyush Goyal, having secured a victory from the Mumbai North constituency in the Lok Sabha elections, has retained the crucial Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's third cabinet.

Chirag Paswan from the Lok Jan Shakti (Paswan) has been appointed Minister of Food Processing. This ministry was once held by his father, the late Ram Vilas Paswan.

Jyotiraditya Scindia, who emerged victorious from the Guna seat in Madhya Pradesh, has been handed the Ministry of Telecommunications. This marks a significant shift from his previous role as Minister of Civil Aviation.

BJP President JP Nadda has been appointed as the Minister of Health and the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers in Modi's third cabinet, taking over from Mansukh Mandaviya.

Mansukh Mandaviya, the outgoing Health Minister, has been assigned the Ministry of Labour and Employment and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

Hardeep Singh Puri continues in his role as the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

HD Kumaraswamy, representing the BJP ally Janata Dal (Secular), has been allocated the Ministry of Heavy Industries, a significant portfolio for industrial development.

Sarbananda Sonowal, former Chief Minister of Assam, has been appointed as the Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways.

Kiren Rijiju, previously handling Earth Sciences and Food Processing Industries, has been appointed to the Parliamentary Affairs Ministry, replacing Prahlad Joshi. He has also been given the charge of the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

Prahlad Joshi has been alloted three portfolios- the Food, Consumer Affairs, and Renewable Energy ministry.

Dharmendra Pradhan continues his role as the Minister of Education, and Bhupendra Yadav retains the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, ensuring continuity in these key areas.

New appointments include CR Paatil from Gujarat, who will head the Ministry of Jal Shakti, and Ram Mohan Naidu of the Telugu Desam Party, who has been given the Civil Aviation Ministry, taking over from Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, has been appointed as the Ministry of Rural Development and Agriculture Minister, a vital role given the sector's significance in India.

Jitan Ram Manjhi from the Hindustani Awam Morcha, a BJP ally, has been allocated the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, crucial for the growth and development of small businesses.

Ashwini Vaishnaw retains the Railways Ministry and has been given additional charge of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, previously held by Anurag Thakur.

Manohar Lal Khattar, former Haryana Chief Minister, has been given the Power Ministry along with Housing and Urban Affairs, indicating a focus on energy and urban development.

Jayant Chaudhary, representing Rashtriya Lok Dal and an ally of the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, joins the cabinet as Minister of State (Independent Charge).

He will also oversee the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Additionally, Chaudhary will serve as Minister of State in the Ministry of Education.

G Kishan Reddy has been appointed as the Minister of Coal and Mines, signaling the government's commitment to the efficient management and development of India's coal and mineral resources.

Jual Oram, BJP MP from Odisha, assumes the role of Minister of Tribal Affairs.

JD(U) MP Ram Nath Thakur, son of Karpoori Thakur, has been appointed Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare

Giriraj Singh has been entrusted with the Ministry of Textiles, reflecting the government's focus on promoting the textile industry and enhancing its global competitiveness.

Shripad Yesso Naik has been appointed as Minister of State for Power, and Tokhan Sahu has been appointed as MoS for Housing and Urban Affairs, supporting Khattar's initiatives.

Annapurna Devi, the BJP MP who previously served as Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, India, has been appointed as the new Minister of Women and Child Development. In the previous Cabinet, this portfolio was held by Smriti Irani.

Rajiv Rajan Singh, popularly known as Lalan Singh and a trusted ally of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has been appointed as the Minister of Panchayati Raj. He will also oversee the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying.

Other notable appointments include Ajay Tamta and Harsh Malhotra as Ministers of State in this ministry, supporting Gadkari's efforts.
