On Tuesday, the Supreme Court sharply condemned YouTube influencer Ranveer Allahbadia for making vulgar comments on Samay Raina's show, India’s Got Latent. The court stated that such behavior should not be tolerated and criticized Allahbadia's remarks, calling them a manifestation of a "very dirty" mindset.
The bench, led by Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh, emphasised that popularity does not grant immunity to offensive actions. "Just because you are popular, you cannot take society for granted. Who would appreciate such language? There is something very dirty in his mind that has been vomited out," the court remarked, according to Bar and Bench.
Allahbadia had approached the Supreme Court seeking relief against the FIRs filed in response to his controversial remarks on the YouTube show. He also requested that the various FIRs be combined.

While the court condemned his actions, it offered some relief by protecting him from arrest. The court also issued a restraint order, preventing Allahbadia from airing any further episodes of his YouTube show.
Justice Surya Kant expressed disapproval of Allahbadia's comments, describing them as a reflection of a "perverted mind." "The words you have chosen—parents will be ashamed, sisters will be ashamed. The entire society will feel ashamed. The perversion you and your associates have exhibited!" Justice Kant stated.
He also reassured that the judicial system, bound by the rule of law, would address any threats against Allahbadia in due course, ensuring that legal procedures are followed.
