Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) President Chirag Paswan has raised serious concerns about irregularities in the 70th Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) preliminary examination.
Accusing the government of rigging, Paswan has demanded a re-examination for affected candidates. He also voiced support for Prashant Kishor, acknowledging Kishor’s concerns about fairness in the BPSC exams.
Paswan criticised the handling of the exams, alleging that question papers were delayed and insufficient at many centers. He highlighted instances of question paper leaks on social media during the exam and called for a high-level investigation to hold those responsible accountable.
Paswan emphasised the need for transparency and fairness, urging the Bihar government, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, to ensure justice for all candidates.

Paswan stated, "If there were no rigging, why was a re-examination necessary? Conducting exams at 22 centers separately indicates serious irregularities." He added that the re-exam has set a harmful precedent, potentially disadvantaging some students.
Chirag Paswan’s remarks come as protests intensify across Bihar, with students, political leaders, and activists, including Prashant Kishor, Pappu Yadav, and Khan Sir, voicing concerns about the exam’s integrity. Demonstrations have been staged against the alleged rigging, and the BPSC has issued notices to those accusing the commission, demanding proof of their claims.
Paswan expressed solidarity with the protesting students, stating that the government must address their grievances and ensure no student is unfairly treated. The High Court has not stayed the BPSC results, but the final outcome will depend on the next hearing scheduled for January 31.
