Bharat Rashtra Samithi leaders staged a protest in the Telangana Legislative Council on Tuesady, demanding that the Congress government fulfil its election promise of providing scooters to girl students.
BRS MLC K Kavitha led the demonstration. Several party members joined them, holding cardboard cutouts of scooters and raising slogans against the government’s inaction.
The protestors accused the ruling Congress of failing to deliver on a key poll promise made to young women. They claimed that the government had assured free scooters for girl students to support their education and mobility. However, months after coming to power, there was no progress on the scheme.

She trained guns at Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and said: "Priyanka ji came to Telangana prior to the elections and promised to give scooties to women. Today, we are asking for the scooty that was promised. When will the Congress government fulfil their promises."
Speaking at the protest, Kavitha said the delay was a betrayal of students who had trusted the Congress. She accused the government of making false promises for votes and then ignoring the welfare of young women. “This is not just about scooters. It is about keeping promises and respecting people’s trust,” she said.
The BRS leaders vowed to continue protests until the Congress government took concrete action. They warned that ignoring the issue would only fuel public anger and erode trust in the administration.
