Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal today accused the Election Commission of refusing to upload data on the number of votes cast in each assembly constituency in Delhi, despite several requests. The votes for the Delhi assembly election, held on Wednesday, will be counted tomorrow.
Kejriwal said in a post on X, "The EC has refused to upload Form 17C and the number of votes polled per booth in each assembly despite several requests. Aam Aadmi Party has created a website, transparentelections.in, where we have uploaded all the Form 17C for every assembly. This form contains all the details of votes polled in each booth."
He added, "Throughout the day, we will present the data of every assembly and booth in a tabulated format, making it accessible to every voter. This is something the Election Commission should have done for transparency, but unfortunately, they are refusing."
Kejriwal's party is hoping for a third consecutive victory in Delhi, but exit polls suggest that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) may have an advantage. Many exit polls predict that the BJP could win a majority in the 70-seat Delhi assembly.
Form 17C is a part of the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961. It has two sections: one showing the total votes recorded on election day and the other showing the number of votes each candidate received. This form is important for election results.
AAP leader Gopal Rai expressed confidence that the party would win 50 seats, based on reports from their candidates. However, this prediction is much lower than their previous performance, where AAP won nearly all the seats in the last election.
On Thursday, Kejriwal, who contested from the New Delhi seat, accused the BJP of attempting to bribe AAP candidates with offers of Rs 15 crore each. The BJP denied these allegations.

Delhi recorded a voter turnout of 60.42% on Wednesday.

The Matrize exit poll suggested a close contest, with the BJP winning 35-40 seats and AAP 32-37 seats, while Congress could win one seat. Lastly, the WeePreside exit poll predicted AAP could win 46-52 seats, the BJP 18-23 seats, and Congress 0-1 seat.
