Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not attending the all-party meeting held after the Pahalgam attack. Kharge was speaking at the 'Samvidhan Bachao' rally in Jaipur and said that everyone should come together for the country.

"Rahul Gandhi visited Jammu and Kashmir on behalf of Congress and met the people injured in the Pahalgam attack. But Prime Minister Modi neither attended the all-party meeting nor visited Kashmir. I want to remind him that the country should come first and everyone must unite for it," Kharge said.

Taking a dig at the BJP, Kharge said that a small tea seller could become Prime Minister only because of the Constitution made by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

"It is thanks to Ambedkar's Constitution that today a small tea seller could become the Prime Minister. Whenever Congress gains strength, they take some action against us. They may or may not take God's name, but they will definitely take Congress's name," Kharge said during his speech.

He further said that the BJP insults Congress whenever they act, and claimed that BJP members might forget to remember God but never forget to attack Congress.

Kharge also said that filing false cases would not weaken Congress. "Congress will not be afraid. You cannot weaken Congress by filing false cases against us," he said.

Mocking the BJP, Kharge said that the party's "56-inch chest" had only brought unemployment to the people and could not match the work done by Congress over the years.

"The BJP is far behind Congress. We gave fertiliser security, NREGA, education — we gave everything. Their 56-inch chest is only giving unemployment. If we stay strong, we will form the government," Kharge added.
