The Delhi Capitals will seek to overcome their past heartbreaks and claim their maiden Women's Premier League (WPL) title as they face defending champions Mumbai Indians in the final at the Brabourne Stadium on Saturday.

Led by Meg Lanning, the Capitals have twice finished as runners-up, falling short of the coveted trophy.

Their opponents, Mumbai Indians, captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, emerged victorious in the inaugural season and will be aiming to retain their crown.

The summit clash is scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM IST, with live telecast and streaming available in India, according to Olympics.com.

Delhi Capitals directly progressed to the final after topping the league stage with 10 points, winning five of their eight matches. However, they enter the final following a defeat to Gujarat Giants in their last league fixture.

Mumbai Indians, meanwhile, finished second in the standings, trailing Delhi on Net Run Rate (NRR). They secured their place in the final with a commanding 47-run victory over Gujarat Giants in the eliminator on Thursday.
