Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday said the state is being run by a performance-driven government that continues to enjoy the trust of the masses. He said the steady improvement of the road network over the past 11 years has made the opposition uneasy.

Saini made these comments during Question Hour on the second day of the Winter Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha. He was replying to a question raised by MLA Geeta Bhukkal.

Saini further stated that the opposition party’s habit of bringing posters or newspaper cuttings into the House does not affect the government in any way.

He said the present government believed in delivering work on the ground. He also stated that the earlier governments did not give proper importance to road infrastructure, while the current government has strengthened roads across the state.

Saini said these visible improvements over the past 11 years are what unsettle the opposition. Regarding the ongoing projects, he said a greenfield expressway is being developed from Jhajjar to Chhuchhakwas, but the opposition has failed to acknowledge it.

He stated that the opposition should at least appreciate and thank the government for significantly improving road connectivity and infrastructure across Haryana.
