As many as 15 persons, including several minors, were injured after a tempo traveller from Delhi overturned near the Kola Wala Toba area in Bilaspur district on Wednesday, police said.
The devotees had travelled from Delhi and were returning after paying obeisance at the Mata Naina Devi Temple when the vehicle reportedly went out of control and overturned along the roadside.
Police personnel and local residents rushed to the spot soon after the accident and helped rescue the injured passengers. The injured, including the driver and conductor, were taken to a nearby primary health centre for treatment.
Kot Police Station in-charge Harnam Singh said 15 people, including three to four minors, were travelling in the vehicle. He added that no fatalities or major property damage were reported in the accident.
All injured passengers are currently undergoing treatment, police said, adding that a case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
