As many as 15 people were injured after a bus overturned on a highway near Tandwal in Rajouri district on Monday, officials said. The bus, carrying several passengers, was on its way from Rajouri to Manjakote when it reportedly turned turtle by the roadside, allegedly because of rash driving.
Locals present at the spot quickly launched a rescue operation and shifted the injured to the Government Medical College (GMC) Associated Hospital in Rajouri.
All the injured are undergoing treatment. A few of them are stated to be in critical condition with serious injuries.
The injured have been identified as:

- Afsana Ahmad (7), daughter of Zaheer Ahmad of Patrara
- Mohammad Sadaqat (19), son of Shakil Ahmad of Ghambir Mughalan
- Abdul Rashid (65), son of Abdul Haleem of DehriRalyote
- Gulfraz Akhter (37), wife of Zaheer Ahmad of Patrara
- Mohammad Akiz (8), son of Mohammad Shakeel of Lah, Thanamandi
- SultazAzar (19), son of Mohammad Rashid of Ghambir Mughalan
- Mohammad Razaq (65), son of Mohammad Fazal of Kakora, Manjakote
- Usma Nisar (17), daughter of Mohammad Nisar of DehriRalyote
- Kafeel Khan (22), son of Gul Khan of Patrari
- Mohammad Saqib (23), son of Shabir Ahmad of Ghambir Mughalan
- AkeelReham (12), son of Abdul Rashid of Kalali, Manjakote
- Rubina Kouser (28), wife of Mohammad Shoukat of Lah, Thanamandi
- Mohammad Hussain (65), son of Mohammad Sher of Thandapani
- Mohammad Rashid (32), son of Mohammad Nissar of Dehri Ralyote
A case has been registered by the police and further investigation is underway, officials said.
