Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday paid tributes to the Indian Army officer who lost his life during an ongoing anti-terror operation in the Rajouri district. Lieutenant Beereshwar Goswami slipped and fell into a deep gorge while participating in the search operation aimed at tracking terrorists believed to be hiding in the area.
In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor said he laid a wreath and paid homage to the brave officer, stating that the nation would always remember and honour his selfless service and sacrifice.
"Laid a wreath and paid homage to our Army heart, Lieutenant Beereshwar Goswami. The nation will forever remain indebted to his supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. We stand firmly with the family of the martyr in this difficult hour,” Sinha said.
Goswami lost his life during an operational deployment in Rajouri as part of the joint operation team searching for the hiding terrorists.
