On Friday, Chief Medical Officer Tarun Kumar Pathak announced that the health department has taken strict action against unqualified medical practitioners, resulting in the closure of 70 illegal hospitals and clinics in Sambhal over the past week.
A special campaign was launched in Sambhal, Gunnaur, and Chandausi to identify and shut down unregistered healthcare facilities, Pathak explained.
As part of this initiative, approximately 70 illegal hospitals and clinics were shut down, and FIRs were filed against more than 50 individuals involved in operating these establishments.
Pathak emphasised that action was taken against quacks and labs operating without registration. He further stated, "In the past week, we assigned nodal officers to three sectors of the district. We identified and closed 70 unregistered hospitals and clinics, and FIRs were filed against 50 people."
The campaign targeting illegal clinics and quacks will continue, Pathak assured, reinforcing the commitment to ensuring public health safety.
