At least seven students from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the Students' Federation of India (SFI) were injured in a clash at Himachal Pradesh University on Tuesday, police said.
The fight started around 10 am when members of both groups got into an argument, which soon turned into a scuffle. It became violent as students attacked each other with sharp objects, injuring seven people, according to the police.
The injured students were taken to Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) for treatment. Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi said an investigation is underway.
