Actor Ajay Devgn met Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at his Delhi home on Monday and offered to establish an International Film City in the state. Devgn showed interest in constructing a film studio with cutting-edge animation, VFX and Artificial Intelligence-driven smart studios that meet international standards. A plan to establish a specific Film Institute for the state was also proposed.
The actor, during the meeting, pointed out the possibility of Telangana becoming a top destination for cinema infrastructure in the nation, and asked Reddy to provide proper support for establishing the studio. He also explained his vision of enriching the development of the film ecosystem by introducing international expertise and best-of-breed technology.

The chief minister also outlined the initiatives undertaken by his government in general development across the various sectors, including entertainment and media.
Devgn, who appreciated the initiatives taken proactively, promised to act as a brand ambassador in projecting "Rising Telangana" through the eyes of cinema and media.
Ajit Reddy, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, and Gaurav Uppal, Secretary for Coordination of Central Schemes, were also present at the meeting. Telangana takes pride in the flourishing Telugu cinema industry.
