A shocking incident has been reported from Bengaluru, an owner of a paying guest (PG) in city’s Mico Layout has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a young woman residing at his accommodation.
The accused has been identified as Raviteja Reddy. Reports suggest that Reddy called the woman to a room on June 21 on the pretext of inquiring about a missing ring.
Police say, it was then when he misbehaved with her and, when she resisted, he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
The woman, who was in shock, initially sought medical help at a private hospital before filing a complaint with the Mico Layout Police. Based on her complaint, the police have registered a rape case against Reddy and he has been taken into custody.

According to police sources, the accused has been remanded to judicial custody for 14 days. And further investigation is underway.
This comes at the wake of another disturbing incident in Bengaluru. On June 6, in the evening around 7 pm, a man allegedly forcibly kissed and hugged two women in separate incidents near Milton Park in Cooke Town.

According to reports, in the first incident, the first woman went walking with her family when the man approached and misbehaved. A few minutes later, he reportedly entered the park and forcibly hugged and kissed another woman on the lips. It is shocking that both the incidents happened within a timeframe of a few minutes.
