In a surprising turn of events, a bride in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, ran away with her boyfriend on the day of her wedding reception. Shocked and embarrassed, the groom and his family went to the police and filed a complaint. The police have started an investigation.
The incident happened in the TT Nagar area of Bhopal. At first, it looked like a kidnapping, but later, the police found out that the bride had willingly run away with her boyfriend, said Station House Officer (SHO) Sudhir Arajaria.
Bride’s secret love affair
Ashish Rajak married Roshni Solanki from Ganjbasoda in Vidisha district. Their wedding took place in Ganjbasoda, and they returned to Bhopal for their reception on Wednesday.
Before the event, Ashish and Roshni went to a beauty parlor and then headed to the reception hall in a car. When they arrived, Ashish got out from one side while Roshni and his sister stepped out from the other. Suddenly, another car pulled up, and a young man pushed Ashish’s sister aside. He quickly pulled Roshni into the car and drove away.
At first, people thought it was a kidnapping, but later, it was revealed that Roshni had planned to escape with her longtime boyfriend, Ankit.

Family dispute over the relationship
Police discovered that Roshni and Ankit had been in a relationship for five years, and their families knew about it. There had been disagreements between both families over this issue. Meanwhile, Roshni’s family arranged her marriage to Ashish.
Although the wedding took place on Tuesday, Roshni saw an opportunity the next day and ran away with Ankit.

After the incident, Ashish and his family reported the matter to the police. He also mentioned that when he went to Ganjbasoda for the wedding, someone had punctured the bride’s car, forcing him to bring Roshni back on a bus.
The police have registered a case and launched a search for Roshni and Ankit, who are currently missing. Investigations are ongoing.
