Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu has ruled out the possibility of an alliance between the BJP and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).
Bittu said the BJP would contest all 117 seats on its own in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections. “The party will not align with drug dealers and those responsible for sacrilege incidents. The BJP’s fight is for a clean and corruption-free Punjab, said the Union minister here on Sunday.
Confident that the BJP would win the Tarn Taran by-election, Bittu said the people of the state have rejected divisive and corrupt politics. “We will never compromise with those who disrespected our Gurus. The BJP will contest alone and begin a new chapter in Punjab’s politics,” he said.
