Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has strongly condemned Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for making a 'foul-mouthed' utterance in the State Legislative Assembly and demanded a public apology for the same. All this began when a late-night discussion on the water of the River Krishna saw Telangana's Chief Minister make personal and unparliamentary remarks against BRS's Working President KT Rama Rao and Deputy Leader of BRS in the Assembly T Harish Rao. Interestingly, he also took to social media platform 'X' to express his frustration over the hypocrisy of the Chief Minister's demands for decency when he uses abusive language.

He specifically highlighted Reddy’s use of the term ‘Bhadwe’ — a vulgar slang for pimps — calling it a "pinnacle of political depravity" in a place often referred to as the temple of democracy. The BRS leader didn't stop there; he slammed the Chief Minister for allegedly threatening to "cut off tongues" and expressed deep disappointment that the Speaker didn't step in to stop the verbal onslaught.

The BRS was notably absent during this session, having already announced a boycott of the winter session to protest what they claim is the Speaker’s biased conduct. From outside the house, Harish Rao also dismantled the Chief Minister's claims on irrigation projects. He dismissed Reddy’s attempt to take credit for the NGT stay on the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation project, insisting that the legal victory belonged to the BRS. He also laughed off the idea that the Congress pioneered the Palamuru Rangareddy Project, noting that it took the previous Congress administration five years just to issue a GO for a feasibility report.

The confrontation eventually turned personal, with Harish Rao mocking Reddy’s credentials in the Telangana statehood movement. It was "like spitting at the sun" to question the motive of K Chandrashekar Rao for one who is not even a combatant in the struggle. According to Harish Rao, the session proved just two things: that the government had to adopt a resolution against the Polavaram Nallamalasagar project because of pressure from the BRS, and that the Chief Minister is clearly out of his depth on the irrigation technicalities.
