New CCTV footage has emerged nearly two days after a speeding Lamborghini caused havoc in an upscale Kanpur neighborhood, crashing into pedestrians and multiple vehicles. The surveillance video shows bouncers rushing from a black SUV to pull the driver from the wreckage of the ₹10-crore Lamborghini Revuelto.
While eyewitnesses and several videos from the scene identify the driver as Shivam Mishra, son of tobacco tycoon KK Mishra, his legal counsel maintains that a driver named Mohan was behind the wheel, not Mishra himself.
The incident took place around 2 pm on Sunday, with footage capturing bouncers jumping out of their escort vehicle before it even came to a complete stop to reach the luxury car. Another angle shows a bouncer carrying Mishra away from the scene while bystanders document the chaotic aftermath on their phones. Although the initial police report was filed against "unknown persons," Mishra's name was added to the FIR the following day, with Commissioner of Police Raghubir Lal citing negligence and failure to follow procedure.
Further, eyewitnesses claim that Mishra was driving under the influence and was driving at a very high speed. Later, the car ran over a parked motorcycle and a pedestrian identified as Taufiq Ahmed, who was seriously injured on the leg. Mishra then proceeded to flee the scene, but the bouncers acted aggressively to save him until people shattered the windows of the car to drag him out.
