Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai praised the Union Budget for 2025-26, calling it a document that fulfills the dreams of every citizen and ensures a golden future for India. He said the budget is a significant step towards improving the lives of the middle and working classes.
“The budget fulfills Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promise to help those who have been overlooked by others. It’s historic for uplifting the middle and working classes. This budget marks a turning point in India’s future,” said Sai.
He highlighted that the Modi government has honoured red taxpayers and the middle class by implementing policies no one expected. For instance, while the previous Congress government taxed income above Rs 2 lakh, Modi’s government will not impose tax on incomes up to Rs 12 lakh, benefiting millions of middle-class families.
Sai also welcomed the budget's pro-farmer measures, such as increasing the Kisan Credit Card loan limit from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, which he believes will significantly aid farmers' growth.

In the health sector, Sai noted the establishment of 200 day-care cancer centers across India and the exemption of 36 life-saving drugs from taxes as revolutionary steps.
On behalf of the citizens of Chhattisgarh, Sai thanked Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Prime Minister Modi for a budget focused on the welfare of farmers, youth, and women.
