Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami led a roadshow in West Patel Nagar, Delhi, on Monday to support BJP candidate Raaj Kumar Anand for the Patel Nagar Assembly seat. A large crowd joined the event, showing strong support for BJP.

Dhami shared his thoughts on social media, saying that the huge turnout at the roadshow for BJP’s Karol Bagh candidate, Dushyant Gautam, signals a desire for a "double engine government" in Delhi. He claimed that people are unhappy with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) due to corruption and now want change.

Dhami accused AAP of corruption and failing to keep promises. He assured that no welfare schemes would be stopped and that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) would be set up to probe alleged scams. He also promised efforts to clean the Yamuna River.

Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra held a press conference, citing a report from JNU about illegal immigration from Bangladesh and Myanmar. He claimed that the increasing number of illegal immigrants in Delhi is changing the city’s demography and affecting job opportunities for Indians.

Patra alleged that political support is helping undocumented Rohingyas and Bangladeshis settle in the city, even getting fake voter IDs. He directly accused AAP and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal of encouraging illegal migration and using fake voters to influence elections.

The Delhi Assembly elections will take place on February 5, with vote counting on February 8. In 2020, AAP won 62 out of 70 seats, while BJP secured eight.
