Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inspected the Agniveer Recruitment Training Centre run by the Department of Youth Welfare, Provincial Armed Constabulary, and the Sports Department at the PAC Directorate in Raipur, Dehradun on Friday. The state government is providing free training to young aspirants preparing for Agniveer recruitment.
While visiting the training centre, Dhami reviewed the overall training arrangements and assessed the facilities available there.
He interacted with the young aspirants undergoing training and sought their feedback on the training process, daily routine, and challenges faced by them. He also asked about the facilities they feel are needed during the training period.
Dhami examined the physical training setup, running practice areas, sports activities, and other basic amenities at the centre. He instructed officials to ensure that all facilities provided to trainees meet high-quality standards.
The CM said the state government is offering free and quality training to youths preparing for Agniveer recruitment so that they can serve the country with confidence and dedication.
Encouraging the trainees, he also took part in sports activities at the centre and interacted with the youths, and motivated them to move ahead with discipline, hard work, and a positive attitude.
He further directed officials to regularly update the training programmes and strengthen the youths both physically and mentally with the help of expert trainers.
Calling the Agniveer scheme a major opportunity for the youth, CM Dhami said the government is committed to ensuring that Uttarakhand’s youth not only serve the nation through this scheme but also become self-reliant. He said providing proper facilities and guidance to the youth remains the government’s priority.
The Chief Minister said the Agniveer scheme offers youths an opportunity to serve in all three wings of the Indian Armed Forces. The scheme promotes patriotism, discipline, leadership, and self-confidence. Early military training helps youths contribute to national security while gaining life skills useful in various fields.
He added that the Agniveer training programme strengthens youths both physically and mentally. Through disciplined routines, rigorous training, and teamwork, youths develop decision-making abilities and a strong sense of responsibility, helping them build a better future.
CM Dhami further said that youths trained under the Agniveer scheme become capable of pursuing jobs and self-employment opportunities after completing their service tenure. Skills like discipline, time management, leadership, and technical expertise give them better prospects in both the private and public sectors.
Officials present said that under CM Dhami’s leadership, the state government is working to ensure that the maximum number of youths in Uttarakhand benefit from the Agniveer scheme. They said free training, improved infrastructure, experienced trainers, and modern facilities are being provided so that youths can showcase their talent at the national level.
