CM Naidu urges NDA allies to unite for PM Modi’s Andhra visit

The Chief Minister emphasised the critical importance of coordinated efforts among leaders and administrative officials for the smooth running of the Prime Minister’s engagements in Srisailam and Kurnool.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday instructed Ministers and leaders of the NDA alliance to ensure that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to the state is a resounding success. Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to arrive in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday for multiple engagements, including the inauguration and foundation laying for a range of projects valued at ₹13,430 crore, and to participate in the ‘Super GST – Super Savings’ event in Kurnool.

“I have directed all Ministers and National Democratic Alliance leaders to work together and ensure that Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Andhra Pradesh is a grand success,” an official press release quoted Naidu as saying.

The Chief Minister emphasised the critical importance of coordinated efforts among leaders and administrative officials for the smooth running of the Prime Minister’s engagements in Srisailam and Kurnool. He noted that the visit would mark the beginning of a new, auspicious era for the sacred Srisailam temple and reiterated the state's commitment to developing the region into a major spiritual and tourism destination. Naidu specifically instructed alliance leaders to coordinate efforts from the village level upwards to guarantee the seamless conduct of the Prime Minister’s itinerary.

PM Modi will offer prayers at Darshan at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam, Srisailam in Nandyal district. Thereafter, he will visit Sree Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra in Srisailam.

After laying the foundation stone for multiple development projects, which will span across key sectors including industry, power transmission, roads, railways, defence manufacturing, and petroleum and natural gas in Kurnool. He will also address a public gathering on the occasion.

He will lay the foundation stone for the Transmission System Strengthening at Kurnool-III Pooling Station, at an investment of over ₹2,880 crore. The project includes the construction of a 765 KV double-circuit Kurnool-III Pooling Station–Chilakaluripeta transmission line, which will increase transformation capacity by 6,000 MVA and enable large-scale transmission of renewable energy to support the nation’s growth.

Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stones for the Orvakal Industrial Area in Kurnool and the Kopparthy Industrial Area in Kadapa, with a total investment of over ₹4,920 crore. Developed jointly by National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) and Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd (APIIC). They are expected to attract ₹21,000 crore in investments and generate approximately one lakh jobs, boosting industrial development and global competitiveness in Andhra Pradesh’s Rayalaseema region. Several other projects are also lined up for the prime minister to inaugurate.
