Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu praised the quick and coordinated response of the Indian Army, Kangra district administration, and local residents after the recent landslides in Bachwai village, Thural, Kangra.
He acknowledged their tireless efforts, noting that stranded villagers were safely evacuated to secure locations. Household valuables and belongings of 13 affected families were also recovered from heavily damaged houses under very challenging conditions.
Sukhu said the dedication of the Army and district administration not only saved lives and property but also gave hope to the affected families. Their efforts strengthened the trust and bond between the Army and the local community.
