In Vadodara, Gujarat, a tragic accident occurred when a 20-year-old drunk driver hit four people with his car, killing a woman and seriously injuring others.
A video from the scene shows the intoxicated driver stepping out of the damaged car and shouting "another round" multiple times while bystanders tried to stop him. The injured victims were seen lying on the ground as the chaotic scene unfolded.
The accident took place around 12:30 am near the Karelibag area. The driver, Rakshit Chaurasia, a law student from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, was arrested. The car’s owner, Mit Chauhan, who was with him at the time, was also taken into custody. Chauhan is a student at a private university in Vadodara.
Footage from the crash site shows Chaurasia wearing a black t-shirt and grey trousers, stepping out of the wrecked car with its front section badly damaged. He raised his arms and repeatedly shouted "another round" while walking along the road.
He then began chanting "Om Namah Shivay." Chauhan had already exited the car and ran in the opposite direction, claiming he was not responsible as Chaurasia was driving.

Reports indicate that Chaurasia was speeding at 120 km/h when he crashed into two scooters, dragging the riders before stopping. One of the victims, Hemani Patel, had gone out with her young daughter to buy Holi colors when the speeding car hit her. She died on the spot, while her daughter and two others were rushed to the hospital.
A large crowd gathered at the scene and thrashed the driver before the police arrived to control the situation. Senior officer Panna Momaya stated that an FIR would be filed, and CCTV footage was being examined. The police are investigating whether Chauhan was also drunk at the time.
Chaurasia did have a valid driving license, and authorities are continuing their probe into the case.
