AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday accused the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of targeting small Hindu traders in Punjab. He claimed that the agency was conducting raids and creating difficulties for the business community in the state.
In a post on X, Kejriwal alleged that ED teams were once again carrying out raids on Hindu traders in Punjab. He claimed that small traders were being unnecessarily harassed.
Addressing the trading community, Kejriwal urged them not to be afraid and assured them of the Punjab government's support. He also added that, "I appeal to all traders - there is no need to panic, the entire Punjab and the Punjab government are with you, we will all together confront the ED party."
Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate carried out searches at six locations in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and the Delhi-Noida region as part of a money laundering investigation linked to a real estate company, officials said.
According to officials, the raids were conducted at residential and commercial properties associated with individuals and entities being investigated in connection with Hampton Sky Realty Ltd.
