The Chief Minister's Flying Squad, in coordination with officials from the Additional Deputy Commissioner's office, has uncovered an illegal center in Haryana’s Gurugram that was involved in making fake Aadhaar cards and birth certificates.
The operation was conducted in Nathupur village, under the jurisdiction of the DLF Phase-3 police station, officials confirmed on Thursday.
The accused, identified as Kashi Ram, a native of Madhubani district in Bihar, was arrested during the raid. Police have registered an FIR at the DLF Phase-3 police station and are further investigating the extent of the forgery network.
Authorities seized a large number of forged documents, including fake Aadhaar cards, voter ID cards, PAN cards, bank passbooks, a laptop, a printer, and ₹12,000 in cash from the site.
The illegal operation was being run under the name Prabhas Cyber Café in Nathupur village, police said.
According to a senior official from the Chief Minister’s Flying Squad, Kashi Ram charged ₹400 to ₹500 per document and created fake Aadhaar cards, voter IDs, and PAN cards without requiring proper documents.
Investigators are now working to determine how many fraudulent Aadhaar cards and birth certificates were issued through this illegal setup.
