In a disturbing incident, female students from Classes 5 to 10 at a Maharashtra school were allegedly forced by teachers to strip for a menstrual check after blood stains were found in the school's washroom.
The incident was reported at RS Damani school in Shahapur district of Thane on Tuesday.
Asked to remove underwear......
Seeing the blood stains, the female students were called in and were questioned about their menstrual cycle, while some were even asked to remove their underwear, said the students, as quoted by sources in a media report.
This action taken by the teachers is being denounced by the parents, saying their children are still in shock, and processing whatever happened.

After they were informed, the furious parents, arrived at the school, the next day and protested against the school administration.
The police informed that a case had been registered into the matter, and the school principal was being investigated.
One of the parents spoke to a media house about the incident and said, "Instead of giving proper education to the girl students about the natural process of menstruation, the principal put mental pressure on them. This is a shameful and disgusting act. We demand that a case be filed against the principal of RS Damani School and he be arrested," a parent, who did not wish to be named."
