All five migrant workers from Jharkhand who had been stranded in Cameroon are scheduled to return to India on Tuesday, following the settlement of their pending wages.

The workers had reportedly been struggling without salaries for three to four months, prompting them to record a video highlighting their plight. The video quickly went viral, drawing the attention of the Jharkhand Migrant Control Room and the Indian Embassy, which subsequently intervened to resolve the matter.

With their dues finally cleared, the path for their safe return has been secured, bringing immense relief to their families. The workers' relatives expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Jharkhand government, social workers and media personnel for amplifying the issue and ensuring swift action.

Their families had been deeply anxious since learning about their situation and had been urging authorities to facilitate their return.

According to reports, the workers had sent their distress video to social activist Sikandar Ali, who publicised it through media platforms and appealed to both state and central governments to take immediate steps for their repatriation.

Following the coordinated intervention of both governments, arrangements for their return were finalised.
