Cases of children suffering from food poisoning after having meal at state-run educational institutes are frequently reported from Telangana.
Fifteen students of Telangana Tribal Welfare Ashrama School for Girls in Tandur, Vikarabad district, were taken to hospital after they complained of food poisoning symptoms.
The incident was reported on Tuesday after childern ate 'khichdi' in breakfast. Earlier, the number of cases was less than five, but as day passed many children complained of symptoms.
Although their condition is stable, such incidents are alarming.
This incident comes close on the heels of a series of food poisoning cases reported at govt-run institutions at Maganoor (Narayanpet district) and Wankidi (Kumaram Bheem Asifabad district).

The incidents prompted the state government to set up two panels — an institution-level food safety committee and a task force committee — with an intention to curb food poisoning cases.
The high court, which is also seized of the matter, had recently told officials to file a detailed report.
Cut to Tuesday's incident, students reported that the breakfast served at the hostel was inedible.
When the students complained of vomiting, headache, and diarrhoea, they were admitted to hospital.
Earlier, on Monday night, students had complained about the rice served to them, which was undercooked.
Some students even said they had raised concerns about the food quality with the hostel authorities.
A Class 8 student claimed to have found worms in the rice served for dinner, and others raised concerns about the unhygienic conditions in the kitchen and hostel.
District authorities confirmed that the students' condition was stable and have ordered an inquiry into the incident.
Such frequent cases of food poisoning that too at state-run educational institutes compel one to think that the state machinery is failing to keep a tab on how such institutes are functioning.
