Akali Dal leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Rajmohinder Singh Majitha joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday. According to a party statement, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann welcomed Majitha into the party.

Along with Rajmohinder Singh Majitha, former RTI commissioner Heminder Singh Majitha and Chief Khalsa Diwan member Sukhdeep Singh Majitha also joined AAP. AAP’s Majitha constituency in-charge Talbir Singh Gill was also present on the occasion.

 

Mann said that people and leaders from different sections of society are joining the party in large numbers, because of the impressive development work and pro-people policies of the state government.

 

Mann said the support of experienced leaders, committed to the welfare of Punjab, will further strengthen the vision of building a “Rangla Punjab” (vibrant Punjab).
