Four children tragically died of suffocation after they were accidentally locked inside a stationary car in Vizianagaram district on Sunday. The victims, aged between four and seven years, were playing inside the vehicle when the doors were inadvertently locked, trapping them inside.
Local authorities were alerted when the children failed to come out of the vehicle for an extended period. Despite the swift arrival of rescue teams, the children were found unconscious and later declared dead at a nearby hospital.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident. Eyewitnesses expressed grief and shock at the tragic loss of young lives.

A senior police officer stated, “This is a deeply unfortunate incident. We urge parents and guardians to exercise extra caution to prevent such tragedies.”
