Fresh snowfall in Lahaul and Spiti, including Keylong, the district headquarters, has disrupted normal life in the region. The district administration has issued a public advisory urging both residents and tourists to avoid unnecessary travel, as the snow has made the roads slippery and dangerous.
In addition to Lahaul and Spiti, higher areas of Kullu, Mandi, and Shimla have also received fresh snow, causing a significant drop in temperatures.
This snowfall has intensified the cold wave affecting the entire state, with temperatures falling well below normal levels. The severe cold has made conditions difficult for both locals and tourists.
The weather in lower regions is equally challenging, with cloudy skies and rain showers expected throughout the day. Meteorologists predict that the bad weather will continue, contributing to the ongoing cold spell.

Local authorities are on high alert and have deployed teams to clear the roads and ensure the safety of travelers. However, officials continue to emphasise the importance of following the travel advisory, especially in remote and high-altitude areas where road conditions can change quickly.
Due to the weather, local businesses and tourist destinations have seen a drop in visitors, as many tourists are avoiding travel due to the disruptions caused by the snow.
The district administration has urged travellers to stay updated on weather forecasts and road conditions before traveling in the affected areas.
