About a month after appointing a new state president and CLP leader in Haryana, the Congress has announced the formation of a disciplinary committee to strengthen organisational discipline. The panel will be headed by senior leader Dharampal Malik, the party said on Tuesday.
As per the party’s official statement, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has approved the proposal to set up the disciplinary committee for the Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect.
While Malik will serve as the chairperson, the other members of the committee include Akram Khan, Kailasho Saini, Anil Dhantori, and Rohit Jain.
This move comes soon after the party named Rao Narender Singh as the new Haryana Congress chief and former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda as the CLP leader in the state.
Earlier, on October 7, party general secretary and in-charge of Haryana affairs BK Hariprasad had said that a disciplinary panel would be formed to ensure accountability and internal discipline within the party’s state unit.
