The Himachal Pradesh Government has started disciplinary action against Rajesh Verma, Superintendent of Police (SP), Communication and Technical Services, Shimla, and has suspended him with immediate effect. Sudesh Kumar Mokhta, Special Secretary (Home), issued the suspension order by late Wednesday evening.
According to the order, the action was taken by the Special Secretary under sub-rule (1) of Rule 10 of the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965.
The suspended SP has been directed to stay at the Police Headquarters in Shimla and cannot leave without permission from Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Tewari.
