A tourist from Italy lost his life at Pulga village, while a young tourist from Delhi has gone missing in nearby Chhalal in Parbati Valley.

Kullu police stated that 63-year-old Gian Luca from Italy was staying at a guesthouse in Pulga when he suddenly felt unwell. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors found he had a ruptured ulcer. Despite quick medical care, he was declared dead on arrival.

Authorities have informed the Italian embassy, and the body has been taken for a post-mortem examination in Kullu. ASP Sanjeev Chauhan informed about the death and said all formalities were being handled in coordination with embassy officials.

In a separate case, 20-year-old Rohit Kumar from Tikri Kalan, Delhi, has gone missing in Chhalal, a picturesque village known for trekking and riverside paths. Police suspect he may have slipped into the Parbati river, which flows close to several trekking trails.

Search operations are ongoing. Divers are in the river, and teams are searching along forest trails and riverbanks.
“We are making every effort to trace the missing tourist. The possibility of an accidental fall into the river cannot be ruled out,” said ASP Chauhan.
