The Jharkhand unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has stepped up preparations for the proposed two-day visit of its national president, Nitin Nabin, on June 6 and 7.
The visit will be Nabin’s first to the state after assuming the party’s top organisational post.
A meeting was held at the BJP state headquarters in Ranchi on Wednesday under the chairmanship of state BJP president Aditya Sahu to review and finalise arrangements for the visit.
Senior party leaders discussed the roadmap for the programme and strategies to ensure its smooth execution.
Addressing the media after the meeting, BJP state general secretary Amar Kumar Bauri said the party was fully prepared for the national president’s visit. He said discussions focused on implementing a comprehensive plan to make the programme a success.

Bauri said responsibilities had been assigned to party leaders and office-bearers for various aspects of the visit.
According to the BJP leader, Nabin will participate in several organisational meetings, party programmes and a number of non-political engagements during his stay in the state.
“The National President's first visit to Jharkhand after taking charge has generated tremendous enthusiasm among party workers. There is also visible excitement among the general public. His visit will strengthen the organisation and infuse fresh energy into the cadre,” Bauri said.
Highlighting Nabin’s association with Jharkhand, Bauri said Ranchi occupies a special place in the BJP leader’s life.
“His birth and higher education are closely associated with Ranchi. Therefore, Jharkhand is not a new place for him but one with which he shares a deep and emotional bond,” he added.
The meeting was attended by state organisational general secretary Karmveer Singh, Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, Rajya Sabha MP and former state BJP president Deepak Prakash, along with several senior party functionaries and public representatives.
