The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has announced that re-examinations for the Class 10 Hindi and Science papers will be held on March 7 and 8, respectively. This decision follows the cancellation of the original exams due to an alleged paper leak.
According to an official statement, the JAC scrapped the Hindi and Science examinations on February 20 after reports surfaced that the question papers had been leaked on social media. In response, the Jharkhand Police launched an investigation and arrested 10 individuals suspected of involvement in the leak.
A formal notice from JAC confirmed that the Hindi re-exam is scheduled for March 7, while the Science re-exam will take place on March 8. The council emphasized that the retests are necessary to ensure a fair examination process and uphold academic integrity.
The Class 10 (matriculation) and Class 12 (intermediate) board examinations in Jharkhand began on February 11 under tight security. Over 7.84 lakh students have registered for the exams, which are being conducted across 2,086 centers statewide.
Authorities have assured that strict security measures will be implemented during the upcoming retests to prevent any further instances of malpractice. The JAC has reiterated its commitment to conducting examinations fairly and transparently while safeguarding the interests of students.
