Ram Navami was celebrated with great religious fervour across Jharkhand on Sunday, as devotees gathered in large numbers outside temples from early morning to offer prayers and take part in the festivities.
The celebrations saw vibrant participation throughout the state, with several processions planned in various regions during the afternoon.
Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren extended their greetings to the people on the occasion. Taking to social media, Soren wished everyone on the holy festival and highlighted the timeless values embodied by Lord Ram.
"The life of Lord Shri Ram gives us an unparalleled message of love, dignity, duty, discipline, generosity, and sacrifice. The great ideals of the Lord will continue to inspire humanity for ages, nurturing it with an unending stream of inspiration," the Chief Minister wrote in a message on X.
To ensure peaceful and safe celebrations, authorities implemented heightened security measures across the state. Officials confirmed the deployment of additional police forces, particularly in sensitive districts such as Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Giridih, and Hazaribag.
Surveillance systems including CCTV cameras, drones, and security personnel equipped with video cameras were stationed at key locations to monitor large gatherings and maintain law and order throughout the day.
