Mandi MP and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut visited the Sidhkali Temple in Mandi town on Wednesday, where she performed a havna ceremony for the welfare of Himachal Pradesh and the nation. The religious ritual was organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as part of its initiative to promote peace, prosperity, and protection from natural disasters.

The event saw the presence of Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, who also participated in the Havna. The BJP said the ceremony was held to seek divine blessings for the state and the country.

Speaking to mediapersons, Kangana claimed that the Central Government has provided around Rs 10,000 crore in financial assistance to the Himachal Pradesh government so far. She highlighted the Centre’s commitment to supporting the state, especially during natural calamities.

When asked about her absence from flood-affected areas in her parliamentary constituency, Mandi, during the recent monsoon havoc, Kangana said she was working at the national level for public service.

“I was continuously working for the welfare of my constituency. In Delhi, I met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and several other Union Ministers to seek financial relief for flood-affected people, especially in the Mandi region,” she said.

On Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, Kangana extended her wishes, saying: “Modi hai to Mumkin hai.”
