Union Minister and former Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar visited Rohtak on Thursday to meet the family of late ASI Sandeep at PGIMS. He offered his condolences and assured them of all possible help from the government.

 

Speaking to reporters later, Khattar said the family had requested a government job for ASI Sandeep’s widow and financial aid for their children’s education.

 

“Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has assured the family of providing a government job and taking care of the children's study expenses. Additional financial benefits will also be provided as per policy,” Khattar said.

 

Describing both recent suicide cases, including that of IPS officer Y Puran Kumar, as “deeply unfortunate,” Khattar urged people not to politicise the tragedies or give them a caste angle.
