There is a particular video which has been found to be playing an important role in a terrifying case of an Indian Air Force officer’s wife in the state of Maharashtra, Nagpur city. In the video, the lady, aged 24 years, can be seen shouting for help by saying ‘Chhodo mujhe’ (let me go), while being held tightly by her classmate of age 26, Ayyaz Taj Madare. The victim alleges that following this ordeal, she was declared converted to Islam and subjected to an attempted rape.
The complainant, who works in property dealing while her husband is posted in another city, stated that the ordeal began in February 2025. Madare allegedly contacted her under the pretext of purchasing a plot of land and lured her to a hotel on Wardha Road. There, he is accused of spiking her juice with an intoxicating substance and raped her while she was unconscious. The perpetrator reportedly recorded videos and took photographs of the assault, which he subsequently used to blackmail her. Over the following months, the victim was subjected to repeated sexual exploitation and extorted out of ₹3.09 lakh.
The pressure intensified when the accused began demanding that she convert to Islam, forcing her to undergo various rituals. On May 31, Madare allegedly took the woman to Kalmeshwar in Nagpur, where she was introduced to Ameen Sheikh, aged 30, and a cleric identified as Hazrat Maulana. The trio allegedly took her to a secluded location to conduct the religious rituals captured in the video, claiming her conversion was complete, before attempting to rape her again.
The matter came to light when the woman's husband returned home from duty and she confided in him about the abuse. A formal complaint was promptly lodged at the Sonegaon Police Station.
Local police have since arrested Madare and Sheikh, and a local court has remanded them to five days of police custody. On the other hand, there is a manhunt underway to catch the third suspect named Hazrat Maulana, who is from the town of Tamia in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The police have filed a complete charge sheet against the suspect which includes offenses like rape, extortion, attempt to convert, and violation of the Maharashtra Act of human sacrifices.
