Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday led a mega padyatra as part of the ongoing 100-day Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan. The padyatra aimed to raise awareness against drug abuse and promote a drug-free society for a healthier future.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, youth, civil society members, officials from different departments, and volunteers.
Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor emphasised the importance of community involvement in the fight against drugs. He urged people, especially the youth, to maintain distance from drugs and contribute towards building a drug-free Union Territory.
He reiterated the administration’s firm resolve to intensify efforts under the ongoing campaign, ensure strict action against drug peddlers, and simultaneously focus on awareness, rehabilitation, and prevention. The event saw hundreds of youth joining hands in support of the anti-drug campaign.
The padyatra concluded with participants taking a renewed pledge to support the Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan and work collectively towards a safer and healthier society.
