Firefighters battle flames as a lodge catches fire in Shimla on Wednesday.

A fire gutted the ‘Dimple’ lodge in Shimla on Wednesday morning, officials said.

No casualties have been reported in the incident.

The fire broke out around 8 am in the Chotta Shimla area. Locals spotted the flames and quickly informed the police and the fire department, officials said.

Fire tenders reached the spot and brought the blaze under control after a few hours.

Additional District Magistrate (Protocol) Jyoti Rana said the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage were being assessed.

Locals said shooting for a new Bollywood film starring Kapil Sharma and Neetu Kapoor had recently taken place at the lodge.
