The accused, identified as Baljinder Singh, was intercepted at a checkpoint set up by the police on Faridkot Road based on a tip-off, according to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bhupinder Singh.
When officers signaled him to stop his car, Baljinder allegedly attempted to run over the personnel in an effort to escape.
