Grand preparations have been completed for the BJP’s ‘Badlav Rally’ at Killi Chahal in Moga, where Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to address party workers and supporters, party leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said on Friday.

Grewal said the rally is expected to witness a massive turnout from across Punjab, with thousands of party workers and supporters, particularly from rural areas, likely to attend the event.

According to him, elaborate arrangements have been made at the rally venue, which is spread over nearly 110 acres, to ensure the safety and comfort of participants. He said a large waterproof tent about 200 feet wide has been installed at the venue. The structure includes a central section of 100 feet and two additional sections of 50 feet each.

He added that large LED screens will also be installed at several locations around the venue so that people gathered at different points can clearly watch and hear the address of the Union Home Minister.

Grewal said the enthusiasm among people across Punjab regarding the rally reflects a growing demand for change in the state’s political direction. He described the ‘Badlav Rally’ as the beginning of a broader movement aimed at bringing political transformation in Punjab.

He said the rally symbolises the aspirations of people who want transparent governance, development and an end to corruption and misrule. He said that the party hopes to strengthen its presence in the state ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.

Grewal also criticised the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab, alleging that the state has been pushed deeper into financial difficulties due to what he described as poor policies and a lack of long-term planning. He said Punjab is currently burdened with heavy debt and requires strong leadership and coordinated efforts between the state and the Centre to achieve economic stability and growth.

The BJP leader expressed confidence that under the leadership of Amit Shah and the national leadership of the BJP, the state could move towards greater prosperity and development in the coming years.

Grewal appealed to people across Punjab to attend the rally in large numbers and listen to the Union Home Minister’s address. He said the rally carries the message of collective progress under the slogan “Aao Miljul Ke Badliye Punjab, Sukhi Rahe Saada Punjab.”

He added that the event is expected to mark the beginning of a new political momentum in the state and could become an important milestone in the BJP’s efforts to expand its base in Punjab.
