In a shocking incident that took place at a government office in Gohad, Bhind district, Madhya Pradesh, where a revenue department employee was caught on video assaulting a woman. The video quickly went viral on social media, prompting immediate action.
The incident occurred on Monday at the tehsildar’s office. Gohad's Sub-Divisional Officer (SDM), Parag Jain, suspended the clerk, Naval Kishore Gaud, who is accused of behaving indecently and assaulting the woman.
The victim, a 52-year-old woman, reported the matter to the police. According to the First Information Report (FIR), she and her husband had been visiting the office for six months to get her land registered online.
On Monday, the clerk allegedly refused to complete the work, leading to an argument. The woman claimed that the official assaulted her by kicking her and hitting her with shoes.
A case has been registered against the clerk, and further investigation is underway, said Manish Dhakad, the in-charge of Gohad Police Station.
This incident has sparked outrage and raised questions about behavior at government offices in Madhya Pradesh.
